Farm worker Job Responsibilities

As a farm worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to vegetable farming, including but not limited to:

1. Hand-harvesting a variety of vegetables with precision and care.
2. Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops to ensure optimal growth.
3. Applying fertilizers and spraying crops for pest and disease control.
4. Operating and maintaining essential farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors and vegetable harvesters.
5. Sorting freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
6. Examining produce for quality assurance before distribution.

Work Environment

• Location: On-site work in an outdoor farm setting no remote work option.
• Conditions: Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
• Physical Demands: This role requires standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods. Heavy lifting and repetitive tasks are part of the job. A fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines may require overtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: Previous farm work experience is an asset but not mandatory.
• Equipment Operation: Experience with tractors, vegetable harvesters, and fertilizer applicators is a plus.
  Transportation: Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
